Every time someone buys a ticket through Senntra, they're trusting us with their payment information. That trust is something we take seriously — more seriously than almost anything else we do.
This post explains exactly how your payment data is protected when you transact on Senntra, and what you can do to keep your own accounts secure.
Our Payment Partner: DPO
Senntra processes all payments through DPO (Direct Pay Online), Africa's leading payment gateway. DPO is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of certification available for payment processors — and operates in 54 African countries.
This means Senntra never directly stores your full card number, expiry date, or CVV. When you enter your card details at checkout, they go directly to DPO's encrypted environment.
3D Secure Authentication
Senntra supports 3D Secure (3DS) authentication — the standard behind 'Verified by Visa' and 'Mastercard SecureCode'. When 3DS is triggered during checkout, your bank sends a one-time PIN or push notification to verify that you are making the purchase.
This dramatically reduces the risk of unauthorized charges and shifts liability away from you in the event of fraud.
End-to-End Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and Senntra's servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 — the current industry standard. You can confirm this by looking for the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.
What We Store — and What We Don't
Data we store:
- Your name, email address, and account preferences
- A record of your ticket purchases
- Payment confirmation tokens from DPO (not your raw card details)
- Event check-in records
Data we never store:
- Full card numbers
- CVV/CVC codes
- Card expiry dates
- Banking passwords or PINs
